Worship

Three styles of worship are offered for your exploration every week.

We begin our worship experience on Saturday at 5:30 pm. This worship is relaxed and more informal for those who desire to be a part of a family. Traditional elements are maintained at the same time there is opportunity for dialogue with each other and Scripture. We also share an occasional time of refreshment and fellowship following the service. The love of Jesus Christ works in and through each of God’s children.

The 8:45 am Sunday morning worship is a more formal and traditionally structured service. We are blessed with music from the organ, hymn singing and special music from the Sanctuary Choir or other offerings from the gifts of the body.  This service is broadcast on the WGCY radio station to listeners all around the world. We are challenged to take God’s Word, alive in us, to the world in which we live.

The 11:00 am service is an emerging worship service with a more contemporary music experience. This service explores the use of multiple medias and talents to enhance the worship experience. We encourage each person to consider what they have to offer and how it might be used to bring glory to God.  In a changing world, “emerging”  also brings an emphasis on being open to new ways that will allow God to come to us or to reach the unchurched within the community.  Expecting the reality of impossible possibilities through following Jesus the Son.
