High School Youth Mission Team
Risk-taking Mission and Service - The high school youth are taking that practice to heart as they plan for their 2010 summer mission trip. They will travel to Red Bird Mission in the Appalachian Mountains of southeastern Kentucky for the week of June 27-July 3. Chronic poverty, lack of jobs, poor housing, and rugged mountainous terrain provide obstacles to a fuller life for the residents of this area.
A major difference for this mission trip is that it will be a multigenerational mission experience and not strictly youth-centered. Would you like to step up to help? Mission trip members may be working on repair of homes in the area, or on upkeep of the Red Bird campus that includes a K-12 school, or may be needed to assist in other areas such as Red Bird's community store.
